Privacy Policy
How AeroCy collects, uses, and protects your information.
On this page
1. Who we are
This privacy policy applies to the AeroCy website operated at aerocy.io ("we", "us", "AeroCy"). AeroCy provides operational resilience services for civil and general aviation, including cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and crisis management offerings.
2. What information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you contact us — for example, by emailing info@aerocy.io through one of the buttons on our site — we receive whatever information you choose to send: your name, email address, company, role, and message contents.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider (currently Vercel) automatically logs basic technical information for security and operational reasons:
- IP address
- Browser type and version (user agent)
- Pages requested and timestamps
- Referring URL
These logs are retained for a limited period and used solely for security monitoring, error diagnosis, and aggregate traffic analysis.
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, social-media pixels, or session-replay tools. We do not build profiles of individual visitors. We do not sell, rent, or share visitor data with marketers.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request
- Operate, secure, and improve the website
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
4. Sharing & third parties
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers who help us operate the site (e.g., our hosting provider). These providers are contractually bound to handle data only on our instructions.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
- Business transfers — in the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with appropriate safeguards.
4.1 Third-party services used by this site
- OpenSky Network — our home page displays a live count of aircraft currently broadcasting ADS-B signals worldwide, retrieved from the public OpenSky Network REST API every 60 seconds. The request is made directly from your browser to OpenSky; AeroCy does not relay or store data about you in this request. See OpenSky's terms.
- Google Fonts — typefaces (Inter, Space Grotesk) are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log basic technical information when fonts are requested.
5. Cookies & tracking
This website currently uses only a single piece of local storage — a record of whether you have dismissed the cookie notice banner — so you do not see it on every visit. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking.
If we add analytics or other tracking in the future, this policy will be updated and the cookie banner will be expanded to give you granular consent over each category.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict processing
- Request portability of your information
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@aerocy.io.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we receive. However, no transmission over the internet is ever fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice as appropriate.
